I like the graphic quality of it, it ties in well with the subject matter. The bike looks like it is from a different era and the style reflects this (I could imagine an image like this advertising the product when it was sold, for example).
Wow! What a lotta comments! Thank you everyone - Zara has it spot on - depends what context ... and the way it is going, it needs to be opaque, AND much simpler - ie more cartoony with less details ... back to the drawing board ...

YEAH, I LIKE BOTH!!!
To be honest, I like them both. They all have different qualities to it. The opaque one is definitely more graphic-y.
It really depends on what you are using them for.
Lovely! Opaque would be my choice :).

Ooo. I like the opaque one - your rendering of the shininess of the metal and the enamel is lovely :)
My vote would be for somewhere inbetween. The transparent seems too insubstantial but the opaque too slick.
Both look beautiful!! I wanted to help you to choose. Opaque or translucent!! Both look awesome!!
Oooh, I like both versions.... I guess I'm slightly more partial to the opaque one, though. So cute!!
Oh opaque!
