Self portraits 11-15

Little Mithi (age about 1) in Big Mithi (age old enough!). Quink, and with some help from some masking fluid. Victorian influence.

Wooooo ... psychedelic 60s disco Mithi. This took a long time to work out how the colours were going to be separated. Yellow watercolour, magenta dilute acrylic paint, cyan calligraphic ink.

Three layers of cut coloured paper. Another one where it took quite a while working out the colour separations (with help from Photoshop and contrast/brightness function).

A bit more old school Mithi style - dip pen with Indian ink, then watercolours.

Finally, a portrait of a self portrait. Dip pen and Indian ink.

Phew - another 5 down, 15 still to go ...

It's a little hard to say which I like the most. You'll certainly have enough entries for any self portrait contests :D

Wow...I just love looking at your self-portraits. Having taken on a similar project not too long ago, I know the rewards, and headaches, attached to this kind of project. Every single one of your portraits is so special and beautiful. Wonderful, wonderful job!

the psychedelic one is my favourite this round! i can't believe you are coming up with so many ways to draw yourself, and each one is so different. looking forward to the next 15!

These are really wonderful - I can't even pick a favorite! It's fun to see you from so many different angles - which one do you think is the best likeness?

I think working in a series like this pushes you to take more risks. You run through a lot of the more obvious solutions to the assignment early on and are forced to push the boundaries of self portrait in order to complete 30 pieces. I am seeing your images become increasingly more dynamic. Good luck!

i also love the camera drawing and the one you did with diluted india ink. that one is the best of them, i think, as far as difficulty and a sense of personality.

LOVE the pscychadelic one. Truly brilliant. Also the one in ink - the browns and creams. Fabulous. Fabulous.

I very much like the disco mithi!
I'm inspired by your mad amounts of media, but it's a bit too late in my degree to start experimenting :( boohoo
