Self portrait in a silver ball

After M.C. Escher ...

Continuing on a theme of "self portrait in random round reflective objects", here is one in a silver ball. Thank you to Sunshine for suggesting it as a challenge...

I was quite pleased with the pencil drawing - even if I managed to make myself look quite tubby (its the curved reflection I tell ya'!), so decided to not add colour and just scan it that way.

This is a very cool idea and you executed it wonderfully.

I agree - this came out beautifully - and you even look good in a round ball. I'm sure I'd be looking for something to elongate my silhouette!

Your drawing made me think of this http://duanekeiser.blogspot.com/2006/07/mirrorball-no12-click-here-to-bid.html
Check it out.

Great idea - I like the contrast of the 'pointy' hand and the roundness of the ball.

I hope you got my other comment- for some reason I didn't find the start of your blog, just a post half way through- now i'm starting here and reading back. Hope you enjoy Bristol- my friend is heading to UWE in September too, but I think she's on the Drawing and Applied Arts course instead.

you need to shade it, and work a bit harder next time if you want to make it
