It is specific for foot, i.e. left vs right, and has two molded plastic splints that go down each side of your ankle - hooked together with velcro bands. There are actually "bladders" on the inside of each plastic splint that you blow up to mold to your own ankle. I can immediately walk with these, even at the swollen, purple stage. And you can take it off whenever your in bed/shower etc. Sorry to hear about your injury. I've been there more than I want to remember.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33704894.post-1165874338577711312006-12-11T21:58:00.000+00:002006-12-11T21:58:00.000+00:00So to hear about the ankle but it gave us a great ...So to hear about the ankle but it gave us a great drawing!!andrea joseph's sketchbloghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17074404376405604742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33704894.post-1165787441849854622006-12-10T21:50:00.000+00:002006-12-10T21:50:00.000+00:00Sorry about your ankle Mithi - but you've done a r...Sorry about your ankle Mithi - but you've done a really beautiful drawing here. A few years ago I sprained both missing the bottom step on our basement stairs and I was in a bad way for weeks - it hurt to step on either one.

I found that an "air cast" brace helped as I got mobile again. It kept it from wobbling. Maybe you can try that too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
